The state of Maine’s Task Force to Address a Opioid Crisis met final week and is approaching to benefaction their recommendations to state legislatures by Dec. 6, 2017.

Recommendations will embody prevention, law enforcement, mistreat reduction, drug treatment, and recovery.
According to officials in law enforcement, 185 Maine residents died from a drug overdose between Jan and Jun 2016. In 2015, 376 Maine people died from an opioid overdose.

Among a angry is Democratic Representative Jay McCreight, who settled that a widespread requires movement and “every day we demur literally means a genocide of another Mainer.”
